Beginnings are tough for me. I procrastinate, a lot, probably from fear. Fear that it won’t be great, fear of judgement and fear of rejection.
I thought the simplest thing to do would be to start with one of my beginnings — my first meal of the day, breakfast. I try to eat the same thing six days a week. Consistency is key in most things. That breakfast is porridge, which is a nicer word than gruel.
The recipe is simple: flax meal, chia seeds, hemp seeds and maca. Fruit if available. I eat it not for the taste, but for its nutritional value, especially its fiber.
One thing I have learned from yoga is humans can get used to almost anything. When I started eating this gruel, it was kind of gross, now I love it. Or at least kind of like it.

Breakfast Gruel Recipe
This is the recipe I use. It is very high in fiber, which is very important to human health. You can click on the ingredients to purchase them at amazon.
